Ortelius Capital Partners, LLC, an alternative asset management group specializing in U.S. long/short equity and event-driven managers, was founded in 2002 by Peter DeSorcy and H.R.H. Prince Pavlos. Ortelius spun-off from Ivory Capital Group, LLC and is the successor management company to Ivory Fund Advisors, LLC.  

 

Ortelius emphasizes performance attribution which stems primarily from stock-picking abilities, or “alpha”, and not from exposure to the marketplace or other macro-exogenous variables. By combining a research-intensive, fundamental-based investment process with a strict risk management program, Ortelius seeks to produce equity-like returns with bond-like volatility over a market cycle.
